Khashayar is a second-year master’s student in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto. Currently, he is an RA and a TA in the Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering. He has finished his undergraduate study in Civil Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology and ranked first among all students. He has received a full scholarship and fellowship from the University of Toronto for his post-graduate study. Khashayar was considered as the Brilliant Talented Student for the 26th Outstanding Student Award and received Iran’s National Elites Foundation Award. He also had a successful startup project, OPT Energy, regarding energy-efficient buildings and received national grants and international awards for its implementation. Khashayar is an active member of Sustainable Buildings Canada focusing on sustainable development and automation in construction. As a Project Engineer in Kamada, he has been assisting in delivering and coordinating start-up projects, project planning and execution, technical documentation, and mentoring and training startup teams.
